Alexandra
Hi There,
This is me. I am the writer of this blog and all opinions are mine.
I have been writing for over a year now and am simply amazed that folks are reading it. For those that have come to know me, then they are used to some of the technical mistakes I will make. I used to have someone look over my postings before they went up, but now I try to edit my own work.
Writing has always been a major struggle for me. I am wickedly dyslexic and still have a hard time with the order that letters and numbers go in. That doesn’t mean I am stupid, just that there is a disconnect between my brain and my hands. But with anything, the more you practice the better you get, so writing this blog has helped me improve my technical skills. ( Sometimes )
So here are basics.
I used to write about my farm and my knitting. But the sheep left and so I began to journal about the changes in my life this past year. I am in transition, to where I am not sure, but transition none the less.
I just love love love to meet new people and I love to write about people. Not exactly what they do, but what make them unique. Everybody has a story and I like finding it and telling it.
I also love this little state of Vermont, so I write about what his happening here sometimes too. And mostly I tend to have an opinion, well we all do, I just am pretty open about sharing mine.
Still don’t know what I want to do when I grow up. This is the story of my journey.
You are most welcome to come along.

Alex,
I just love the piece on The Sugar House….so wonderful how you tied us and it into “Crossing to Safety”. Not too many people know that the first passage you quoted is about Wally walking up the driveway to your house and to mine. It is one of my favorites.
The last quote, just makes my tear up and wish we were all in Greensboro, together on a hot summer day, sitting on the dock w/Ethan on his guitar.
Love you, Patty

you sound a bit homesick. The leaves are gone and it is cold and gray. Come with the holiday soul and drink your fill of Greensboro then, or give a call and come up for a quick weekend.
love you too.
