Elephants Rolling Right by Elizabeth Loftis

Yesterday’s trip down to DC was slightly eventful.  I opted to leave the quart of Maple at home and picked up a smaller 6oz. bottle of Mud City Maple syrup from Green Top Market on my way to Burlington Airport.  I hoped that I would get a kind and understanding TSAprofessional, but alas.  He must have been a flatlander, because he said I could leave the line, check it in or surrender it.  I opted to surrender hoping at least it would end up at the food bank.

Last night Lucy, Lewis and I all headed down to this getchy little artist house for what they call here in Falls Church as First Fridays.  First Friday of the month the art galleries are open house style and promoting their product.  Stifel & Capra is one such place.   Here I met the artist, Elizabeth Loftus after looking at her terrific work.  She is friends with the Lucy and Lewis, her husband Bob works with Lewis at the State Department and is the “Special Representative on Avian and Pandemic Influenza”  Go Figure.

Lewis is pushing us to get ready, going to see his office at the Secretary of State office.  More later.  Lewis is on a mission.
