Look Lulu, I’m blogging

lulu-and-mum

Lulu has been after me to post again,  and I find her a rather unlikely Muse.  I am not to write too much about her, those are the rules.

She is right to push me a bit, I have been occupied with other things and need a shove.

Adding school into my schedule is my first excuse.

Part of the perks for working at UVM is that there is full tuition remission if you work fulltime.  I work 28 out of 37.5 hours a week and am considered full time, so it applies.  I am looking at the Masters of Public Administration program and need a couple of classes as prerequisites,  American politicas, stats and economics.   I think I already have stats, and will check to see if I can swing economic history as one done too, but I did need American Politics.

I live over 40 miles away from UVM campus, so I can take classes at Johnson State College which is much closer and much smaller in class size at the under graduate level.   A huge plus is that Bill Doyle is teaching the class.  He has been teaching at Johnson for 51 years and has been a Senator for 41 years.    He was very helpful when I ran for state legislature a couple of years ago, so being in his class is a real treat.

With out farm animals, I am a bit lost.  That is my second excuseabout-us

I started the blog last year to write about my life on a small farm.  Without the sheep and the ducks, my writing has changed focus and I am still looking for a theme.  I tend to ramble all over the map with comments on different topics and kind of feel like I what to focus more.   I haven’t been knitting or spinning as much either,  so that is a weak topic.

Working full time is my third excuse.

I have changed my schedule to working 5 hours, 36 minutes, five days a week instead of working full days Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and part time Thursday.  There was a question of whether I would be able to increase my hours at UVM to 37.5, but that didn’t work out, so I am now working at the Duckworth Factory in the afternoons.   That just happened, so my excuse for not writing is that I was focusing on gettng an additional job that would fit into my schedule.

I had serious writers block is my final excuse.

I managed to get my Vermont Profiles piece done for Livin’ but just under the wire and really  with more writer’s block then I would like.   It consumed all of my mojo.

So here you go doodle.   I will try and get back to the routine.

thanks.
