We live in the most beautiful place. I love being able to walk on our land and see nature doing what it does best. This huge tree was blown down sometime in the past few months. Bub and I went for a pasture walk down to the beaver pond and was surprized to see how much things had changed.
We used to have a problem with beavers taking down trees on the bottom portion of the land. They must have moved on this year. None of the dams were active and the pond, not having any barriers. reverted back to a small stream with only what looks like an overgrown path as its markings.
Now there is a great area for moose, bear, deer and fox. Wild flowers were abundant and although I was a bit sad that the pond was gone, it is pleasing to see such a great wild area.
